Honestly, who could resist the hot and crispy chicken that’s nicely coated with the right amount of spice and taste made to its perfection? Well, my favourite fried chicken has always been Kentucky Fried Chicken and Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen. That was before I tasted this superbly delicious fried chicken at 4Fingers in Singapore. 4Fingers is a Singaporean fast food restaurant chain that specialises in Korean style fried chicken. It opens its first joint in Singapore and since then, it has garnered lots of attention from the locals. This Korean style fried chicken is so deliciously tempting, whereby you won’t seem to get enough of them. It’s coated with a layer of sauce or spices before it’s fried, giving it a less greasy but crunchy layer, which is totally different from the American style fried chicken.
One day, I came across a shop at the lower ground floor in Mid Valley Megamall, where people were queuing up and to my delight, it was 4Fingers. Apparently, it has expanded its business into Malaysia in 2015. Knowing me, I couldn’t wait much longer and decided to pay a visit to 4Fingers with my fellow colleagues. We were greeted with a huge menu board near the ordering counter the moment we stepped into it. At first sight, it will be a little overwhelming for you to digest what’s on the menu. But fret not, as you’ll be guided through it and how to place an order.
Its specialty, the 4Fingers Signature includes chicken wingettes and drumettes in soy garlic, hot or mixed sauce. Its seasonings are seasoned to perfection, absolutely tasty to be eaten just like that and it’s surely finger-licking good. The 4Fingers Signature can be served in à la carte style of 6 pieces (RM15.90), 12 pieces (RM27.90) and 18 pieces (RM40.90). For those who want a side dish, you can choose the combo style, where the fries will be served with either kimchi or seaweed seasonings.
Once you have placed your order, you’ll be given a beeper to indicate when your order is ready. When the beeper beeps, you’ll collect your food at the pick-up counter, which is located right behind the ordering counter.
We ordered both the soy garlic and hot sauce fried chicken, with the kimchi-seasoned hot and crispy fries. Each bite of the chicken, followed by mild sour and spicy kimchi will give a strong kick to your taste buds. I’ve tried the seaweed-seasoned fries before, and I absolutely love it. Well, partly because I’m also a seaweed lover.
If you dislike French fries but would love to eat the crispy fried chicken with rice, voila, you’ve found the right place. 4Fingers do serve them as chicken rice box, in à la carte or combo style at the price of RM16.90 and RM19.90 respectively.
I’d greatly encouraged you to come and try this deliciously made Korean crispy fried chicken. The downside of it is that, it may take approximately 30-40 minutes for your food to be served, particularly during peak hours. Hence, I’d strongly recommend you to come in during non-peak hours, which waiting time may only be about 15 minutes. No matter what, I’d say it’s absolutely worth the wait for such an awesome meal.
